Development Update: MystSafe is Going Open Source - Coming Soon!

We are excited to announce that MystSafe will soon be going open source! In the near future, we will release the MystSafe client as an open-source project, inviting security experts and community members to examine the code and validate the security and privacy of our unique MystSafe technology. This transparency will allow the public to verify several important aspects of MystSafe:

Fact #1: MystSafe Operates 100% in the Browser

The MystSafe client is a completely client-side application, running entirely in the browser on the client device. It only communicates with the network for data synchronization with other user devices or when sending messages to other users.

Fact #2: All Data is Encrypted

No data ever leaves MystSafe in clear text. Every piece of data, including user metadata and the addresses of senders and recipients, is encrypted on the client device before being sent to the network for storage or transmission.

Fact #3: Personal Identifying Information is Protected

MystSafe ensures that no personal identifying information is ever shared with the public. Details about the owner of the secrets, sender addresses, and recipient addresses are all concealed using advanced techniques such as stealth addresses and ring signatures.

Fact #4: Local Storage of Encrypted Data

All secret data is stored locally on the user device and is always encrypted. It can be accessed even when the device is offline and only by the owner, with optional biometric authentication.

Fact #5: Payment Information is Decoupled from User Activities

Even if payment for a premium license is made using non-privacy-preserving methods such as credit cards, payment information is completely decoupled from user activities. It is impossible to track user secrets or messages, even with access to their payment information.

Stay tuned for the official release and join us in making MystSafe even more secure and private! We look forward to the contributions and insights from our community.
